Fresh Pick Live December 4th: Ed Sheeran's new Beyoncé Collab & More

During the December 4th episode of Fresh Pick Live presented by O Organics, guest host Jerah Milligan, joined by playwright/author Cyrus Aaron to discuss all of the amazing new music that has recently been released.

First, the group group kicked off the episode by talking about Ed Sheeran's new version of his romantic single "Perfect" featuring Beyoncé. This is Queen Bey's third collab this year, following her appearance on J Balvin's "Mi Gente" remix & Eminem's "Walk on Water." The original version of "Perfect" appears on Ed's most recent album divide.

The panel also discussed country singer/songwriter and previous The Voice winner Danielle Bradbery's new album I Don't Believe We've Met, as well as Andy Grammer's new album The Good Parts.

And this week's Freshest Pick? JAY Z and Beyoncé's joint album IS A THING. In a new interview with T Magazine, Jay confirmed that he and Bey had worked on a joint album. This confirmation follows the respective releases of their much speculated about & most recent albums Lemonade (Beyoncé) & 4:44 (JAY Z). When asked if the two had a discussion about putting out such intimate records, JAY-Z responded, "It didn’t happen that way.... We were using our art almost like a therapy session. And we started making music together." He continued, "And then the music she was making at that time was further along. So her album came out as opposed to the joint album that we were working on. Um, we still have a lot of that music. And this is what it became. There was never a point where it was like, 'I’m making this album.' I was right there the entire time."
