Donald Glover is postponing his final tour as Childish Gambino to prioritize his health.

On Monday (September 9), Glover announced on X (formerly Twitter) that he was postponing the remaining North American dates of his The New World Tour to focus on his "physical health." The United Kingdom and European leg of the tour is still on track to kick off in October, per Consequence.

"hey everyone. unfortunately i have to postpone the rest of the north american tour to focus on my physical health for a few weeks," he said.

As of the announcement, the dates are only postponed and not canceled, so Glover told fans to "hold onto your tickets" as they "will be honored for the upcoming dates in north america when they are rescheduled."

He ended the post with a message of gratitude for fans for their support as well as a wish for privacy amid his break, writing, "thanks for the privacy. thanks for the support. thanks for the love."

Glover dropped his fifth studio Bando Stone & The New World in July, his last under his Childish Gambino moniker and one that serves as the soundtrack to his new film of the same name. He previously spoke to The New York Times about his decision to leave his alter ego behind, saying it was no longer "fulfilling" and that he "felt like I didn't need to build in this way anymore."
