OMG, I'm so excited about this casting news!! Rumors have been swirling for months now that Will Smith would be playing Genie in the upcoming live-action version of Aladdin. It was officially announced at D23 Expo that it will be happening!! Jasmine and Aladdin have also been cast. Naomi Scott, 24, who will portray Princess Jasmine and newcomer Mena Massoud who has been announced as Aladdin.
