Ariana Grande's New Grey (Not Purple) Hair Has Totally Transformed Her

We all understand Ariana Grande's affinity for the ponytail, but the pop titan just switched up the look with a brand-new color and it's a striking change from her brunette locks.

On Saturday (October 7), the 24-year-old singer took to Instagram to share a photo of her newly dyed silver hair and it almost looks like a Snapchat filter. "btw i (it's grey)," she captioned the shot, which did include a filter of hearts above her head. Grande's new hair could also be seen in a photo with her friends and boyfriend Mac Miller, which she shared earlier that day.

Grande's hair remains a constant topic of discussion for her fans, especially considering what happened during her time on Nickelodeon shows Victorious and Sam & Cat. In fact, in a 2014 Facebook message, the singer said that dying it red for her role on the latter "completely destroyed [her] hair," which is why she wears it in a ponytail so frequently nowadays. "My real hair is back to brown and I wear extensions but I wear it in a pony tail because my actual hair is so broken that it looks absolutely ratchet and absurd when I let it down," she revealed in the post.

Surprisingly, the unveil also reportedly prompted the mini-rise of her single, "Focus," on the iTunes chart due to the accompanying video, which sees her sport a slightly similar hue. Take a look at the video below!
