I LOVE This Is Us. But honestly, I didn't think twice about the last episode where the 20yr old CrockPot on TV caused a house fire with no batteries in the smoke alarm... but apparently it's bothered a ton of people- enough for CrockPot to post that they are "innocent until proven guilty" and they do lots of testing to make sure there are no issues like the one on TV. So here's the question... should we REALLY take everything we see on TV so seriously that we toss something almost all of us have? OR should we maybe take the time to double check all of the smoke detectors in the house- because there are many more ways the house can catch on fire other than a 20yr old crock pot.
