This Is The First Thing You Should Do When You Feel Unhappy


It's natural to suppress unhappy thoughts or move on to something positive, but according to Mo Gawdat, an engineer and chief business officer of Alphabet’s moonshot lab who authored the book, Solve for Happy, you should do the opposite: confront those feelings when they come your way.

When something triggers your unhappiness, visit it,” Gawdat said at a recent workshop in New York City, according to Business Insider’s Shana Lebowitz.

Research published in the August issue of the Journal of Experimental Psychology: General found that for some people, the secret to happiness is the ability to actually feel crummy sometimes.
