Whitney Port Talks 'The Hills' Reboot-- No Script, No LC

Whitney Port opened up to Cosmopolitan about The Hills: New Beginnings-- MTV's reboot of The Hills, which aired on the network from 2006 to 2010.

"I definitely feel nervous," Port said during an interview at Cosmopolitan.com HQ. "But I’m excited to show what it’s like to be a working mom, working dad, and balance trying to raise a good kid, but also take care of yourself."

MTV announced the reboot at the 2018 Video Music Awards. Original cast members Spencer, Stephanie and Heidi Pratt, Audrina Patridge, Justin Bobby and Jason Whaler had a mini-reunion at the award show.

It was later revealed Lauren Conrad and Kristin Cavallari (who stars on Very Cavallari on E!) won't return to New Beginnings.

"I really wanted both [Lauren] and Kristin to come back because the show was pretty much based on the two of them," Port tells me. "I feel like it would have been so great to have everybody involved. But people go in different directions, and we’re older now, so I understand not wanting to be on TV anymore. I was definitely disappointed."

Filming starts at the end of September. MTV has yet to announce a premiere date.
