Netflix To Raise Prices For 58M US Subscribers As Costs Rise

Streaming giant Netflix announced its plan to increase prices for U.S. customers.

Its most popular plan will cost $13 per month from $11.

Netflix says the price jump will help pay for the streaming service's investment in original shows and films and finance debt.

Netflix raised its prices in late 2017, but this is the first time higher prices will affect all 58 million U.S. subscribers.

Even with its higher price, the plan is still cheaper than HBO, whose streaming charge is $15 per month.
