The producers of the It remake-- the highest grossing horror film of all time-- are re-imagining the classic '80s horror film, Child's Play.
Aubrey Plaza stars as a mother who gives her son Andy (Gabriel Bateman) an unknowingly sinister toy doll for his birthday. The updated version of the killer doll isn't one possessed by a serial killer; it's a defective Buddy doll whose programming code was hacked so that he has no limitations to learning--and violence. The Child's Play remake by MGM is a complete diversion from the original Child's Play movie series created by Don Mancini.
Child’s Play will debut in theaters on June 21.
