Ahoy, matey! An all-female remake of Disney's Pirates of the Caribbean is on the horizon.

Academy Award nominee Margot Robbie will lead the remake, penned by Birds of Prey writer Christina Hodson, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

According to THR, the new project will likely not be a spin-off of the first franchise, which starred Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow, Orlando Bloom as Will Turner and Keira Knightley as Elizabeth Swann. Rather, the remake will have an original story line and characters.

No word yet who else will join the cast, but here's hoping K. Knightley makes a cameo!
