Justin Bieber is kicking off the new year with new music!
The Canadian singer-songwriter debuted his brand-new single, “Anyone” on New Year’s Eve (December 31). Hours after performing the track live for the first time last night, Bieber unveiled an inspiring, Rocky-themed music video to accompany the track’s release.
The four-minute visual opens with the shirtless — and tattoo-less, thanks to body makeup — 25-year-old performing intense training exercises as he prepares himself to enter the boxing ring. In between those moments, Bieber can also be seen serenading his onscreen love interest, played by actress Zoey Deutch,
before the couple embraces in a sweet kiss after the singer lands a knockout punch on his opponent.
“That you are the only one I’ll ever love/ Yeah, you, if it’s not you, it’s not anyone/ Lookin’ back on my life you’re the only good I’ve ever done/ Yeah, you, if it’s not you, it’s not anyone,” Bieber croons in the hopeful, romantic chorus over a low-tempo pop production.
Produced by watt, The Monsters & Strangerz & Jon Bellion, “Anyone” marks Bieber’s song to arrive in 2021 following his previously-released 2020 singles “Holy” featuring Chance the Rapper and “Lonely” with record producer Benny Blanco. He also appeared on Shawn Mendes’ sophomore studio album, Wonder, on the collaboration, “Monster.”
Bieber’s last music project, his fifth studio album Changes, released in February 2020 and debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart. The record featured hit songs like “Yummy” and other jams like “Intentions” featuring Quavo and “Take It Out On Me.”
