Not every actor is excited to see themselves on the big screen. Some may shy away from watching their own projects due to a variety of factors, from humility to complicated emotions about that time of their life. The latter is how Adam Scott currently feels about his role in Parks & Recreation, with the actor admitting he hasn't seen an episode of the mockumentary comedy series "in a long time."

The Severance star appeared on a recent episode of Josh Horowitz's Happy Sad Confused podcast where he explained his mixed feelings of looking back at the beloved series, namely that because he had such a "joyful" time with his cast mates, he's still sad that it's all over, per People. Parks & Rec ran for seven seasons before coming to an end in 2015.

"Honestly because it makes me sad to see the show, because I miss them and I miss all the actors even though we're constantly in touch and stuff, but I miss the time of making it," he said. "It was a really just joyful five years — for me, seven years for the show — getting to go work there every day with that group of people."

He continued, "We had so much fun and we're making something that meant something to people; it meant something to us."

While some devoted fans of the series may hold on to hope of a reboot, Scott feels that the series originally ended in a good place. However, he noted that the decision ultimately is not up to him.

"The show itself, the series finale kind of took us to the end," he said. "It jumped pretty far ahead into the future, so I'm not sure what else there is to add, but it's entirely not up to me at all."
