Sarah is a young, accomplished restauranteur with 18 years of experience in the hospitality and food service industry. She is known for concept innovation, branding development, and site selection. Her love for tequila developed as she grew her restaurant portfolio and frequent visits to Jalisco distilleries, which ultimately led her to find La Pulga Spirits.
Her first concept, Taco Heads, was an early part of the food truck revolution in the Dallas/Fort Worth area in 2010. In 2016 she opened her first Taco Heads brick-and-mortar, which soon became a prime location, sitting across from The Dickies Arena in Fort Worth. Taco Heads was featured in Texas Monthly twice, continues to win awards, and now has two locations, with the second being in the Fort Worth Stockyards.
In 2017 Sarah set out to create Tinies, and was the first to sign a lease in the new upcoming hot district, South Main Village. Tinie’s Mexican Cuisine opened in March 2020 with many accolades and was voted Top Restaurants open in 2020 by Texas Monthly Magazine.
In 2019, she was introduced to Fort Worth Stockyards' new development, Mule Alley, and developed a modern-day saloon paying tribute to the Cowgirl. Sidesaddle Saloon Sidesaddle Saloon opened in April 2021 alongside the new Hotel Drover.
Today, Sarah is focused on sharing her passion for quality tequila. A Fort Worth native, Sarah continues to be active in community involvement and is still very passionate about growing her concepts. From candle scents to landscape, Sarah continues to shape and grow her brands one detail at a time.
Andrew de la Torre is a seasoned entrepreneur known for his leadership and work ethic, with over 20 years of experience in the bar and entertainment venue business. As the founder and managing partner of La Pulga Spirits, his career has spanned multiple successful ventures in Fort Worth, Texas.
A 2001 graduate of TCU, de la Torre began his journey by juggling construction work in the mornings and waiting tables in the evenings at the renowned Joe T. Garcia's. His experience in construction allowed him to raise capital and, by 2005, he was developing student housing in the TCU area, eventually selling the portfolio to a large investor group.
In 2006, de la Torre opened Embargo, a 7,000-square-foot Cuban-themed nightclub, famous for its hand-crafted mojitos and credited with revitalizing Fort Worth's southeastern downtown, an area known as Hell's Half Acre. Embargo was one of the top sellers of rum in Texas and earned de la Torre a reputation for hands-on leadership, which garnered him loyalty and respect from his team. He operated Embargo for nearly a decade before the building was sold in 2015.
In 2009, he was brought on by a private equity firm to manage Pequeño Mexico, a 12-acre open-air market in Northside Fort Worth also commonly referred to as a “Pulga”, or “flea” in Spanish. Known for its vibrant bars, live concerts, and over 60 tenants, Pequeño Mexico is a cultural hub for the Mexican community in Fort Worth, and de la Torre continues to oversee its operations to this day.
Driven by a passion for tequila, mezcal, and Latin cuisine, de la Torre opened La Perla in 2014, a downtown bar offering cocktails inspired by Mexican culture and ceviche from across Latin America.
Despite his multiple business awards, including being named one of Fort Worth's "40 Under 40," de la Torre considers his roles as a husband and father his greatest accomplishments.
