Mohammed Anas, who plays for South Africa’s Free State Stars, had just been named “man of the match” (like the MVP in other sports). While being interviewed after the match, he said something I'm sure he wishes he could rewind time and have a do-over.
“Firstly I appreciate my fans,” Mohammed Anas began, “and my wife and my girlfriend.”
He caught himself in the mistake and immediately had that "nervous laughter" we've all encountered before.
“I mean my wife, sorry for saying, I’m so sorry, my wife,” he said. “I love you so much. I love you so much from my heart.”
