The main takeaway from the story was that the Kimmel's were fortunate enough to be able to pay for their son's medical expenses, but a lot of people in this country do not have that same privilege. Jimmy thinks all children should have access to healthcare.
This may surprise you, but some people slammed him for it. There were people legitimately angry over the thought of all children in America having access to healthcare.
