By his first anniversary with his girlfriend Anna, a guy named Terry knew he wanted to marry her, but he felt it might be a little too early to propose. Instead, he gave her a necklace that he made and she wore it every day.
A year and a half later she would find out that her engagement ring was in the necklace that whole time.
At Smoo Cave in Scotland, a site they'd always talked about visiting, Terry asked Anne for her necklace, cracked it open and proposed.
While she said yes, she also called him a "f***ing idiot" for putting the ring in a necklace she might have lost.
Best of all, "Smoo" is Norse for "hiding place."
